The new Metlife lobby design forms part of a retail extension study for the 1095 Avenue of the Americas Tower. The actual lobby cuts the valuable retail space on 6th Avenue in front of Bryant Park into two parts. The new design repositions the tower lobby entrance to 42nd street, creating a continuous retail space on 6th avenue and therefore increasing the value of the commercial space.
